Looking for inspiration? This art class is largely exploratory, perfect for beginners- intermediate students who are curious about the visual arts & interested in exploring lots of different media. Participants will dive into painting & mixed media and/or found object art with the support from a professional instructor.
Kids ages 9-12 learn how to express themselves freely in a personal way using a combination of both professional & non-traditional mixed media (recycled machine parts, toys, papers, thread, fabrics, etc).
Every week, a different subject or theme will be offered to explore and work in the various medias, mixing styles & genres to create one of a kind pieces. The classes will also reference master artists for inspiration (both present & past artists), think Jackson Pollack or Basquiat! Pick up fun tips the pros use to apply to future artistic endeavors.
Fee includes all materials. Prior registration is required. All students must sign a Class Waiver & Liability Form prior to arrival. Limited availability & safety restrictions apply.
Class is offered as single day drop-ins or sign up for multi-week full courses by selecting the start date from the registration calendar below.
