Carols, Calypso and Cocoa! DUMBO Tree Lighting

The DUMBO Improvement District hosts its 15th Annual DUMBO Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, with all the trimmings.

• TREE LIGHTING at 5:30pm, with a countdown led by Alexandria Sica
• SANTA CLAUS. All the way from the North Pole, in a fabulous setting generously created by West Elm. Photobooth from The Self Portrait Project.
• CALYPSO MUSIC. From Brooklyn-based steel drum band Jah Pan.
• CHRISTMAS COVERS. By Curtis J. Social and the Dumbo house band!
• CHEERS. Performances by the PS307 Diamonds and Dock Street Middle School cheerleaders.
• HOT COCOA & SWEET TREATS. Donated by One Girl Cookies, and more!
• PROJECTIONS ON THE MANHATTAN BRIDGE. Animated videos reinvent the holiday tree for the digital age, created by the DUMBO-based animation company Augenblick Studios.
• FUN! Bring those fingerless gloves and build giant lego creations with Brooklyn Bridge Parents.
• TOY DRIVE. Bring an unwrapped toy for a child ages 0 to 14, and add it to the 84th Precinct's Operation Sleigh Ride!
• COAT DRIVE. Bring an old coat in good condition–all sizes welcome! – and add it to the 84th Precinct x New York Cares Coat Drive.
• FOOD DRIVE. Bring packaged non perishables for the Vinegar Hill Pantry Food Drive!
