Students learn how to capture the human face with dynamic portrait instruction. This class is ideal for teens who have taken the Beginner Drawing Technique class & want to move on to more complex subject matter, including capturing facial characteristics in pencil, charcoals & inks.
This is a great class for observational skills, as students create drawings from subject matter (photos and pictures of choice). Students will study compositions & poses, 3/4 views, and non-traditional angles. They will learn how to use perspective and mid-points to give subjects a realistic feel. Participants will start with preliminary drawing sketches to understand and get to know subjects before moving on to painting a realized facial portrait. At the end of the session, instructor will offer valuable critique to help inspire further artistic endeavors. Return students are welcome-practice makes perfect! Perfect for beginners who have taken a drawing class and intermediate students or those working on a portfolio.
Fee includes all materials. Prior registration is required. All students must sign a Class Waiver & Liability Form prior to arrival. Limited availability & safety restrictions apply.
